The official easyJet cabin bag sizes for 2026

Checked against the easyJet cabin bag and hold luggage help page on 31 July 2026:

• Free small cabin bag: 45 x 36 x 20 cm including handles and wheels, up to 15kg. It goes under the seat in front of you, and every passenger gets it.
• Large cabin bag: 56 x 45 x 25 cm including handles and wheels, up to 15kg. This is the overhead tier. You pay for it, or it comes with certain seats or membership.

The part people get wrong

Both limits include handles and wheels. That is the line that catches people: a case sold as 45 x 36 x 20 often measures that at the body, before the wheels add a centimetre or two. Measure the whole bag, corner to corner, or fly soft-sided so there is nothing to argue about at the gate.

What fits a 45x36x20

The BRAW Explorer 2 measures 40 x 30 x 20 cm at base, so it drops inside easyJet's free 45 x 36 x 20 cm bag with room to spare, 5cm on height and 6cm on width. Unzip the expansion and it opens to 40 x 30 x 25 cm, and that extra depth takes it past the free 20cm limit, though it still fits easyJet's large 56 x 45 x 25 cm cabin bag exactly on depth. So fly out on the free allowance and come home expanded as your large bag if you have paid for the locker. The shell is a 1050d shell with a 900d facing, and inside there is a padded sleeve for up to a 15in laptop and the ClipPod vacuum system. It is £115, down from £135.
